About Me:
I'm an RN, End-of Life Counselor at a local hospice offering program development and bereavement services. I created & facilitate a contemplative based sitting with dying program that is well established. I co-developed a workshop for caregivers and the public in contemplative end-of-life care. I am a consultant employee for the Metta Institute where I coordinate graduate activities, a consultant teacher for the Chalice of Repose Project, and a consultant teacher for the State of Oregon, offering half-day workshops on grief and loss.
Special Interests:
Loving beauty and Loving Life in all it's expressions.
In addition to the service to the dying and bereaved, I teach weekly T'ai Chi and Qi Gong classes and study life though Zen and Taoist practices.
Current Projects:
I am exploring expanding my private consulting/teaching business to include training in presence, bereavement, and care of the dying. I am also interested in providing T"ai Chi and or Qi Gong at trainings and retreats.
I am in the process of recording a DVD and writing a small booklet about a series of Qi Gong movements called "The 18 Therapies." I am also working at co-publishing a book of reflection and photos called "What is T'ai Chi?"
